Kidney Kountdown - Day 1

Hard to believe in ten days my life will change forever. Emma has started a countdown and reminds me everyday…”dad we only have nine more days.” The kids have been extremely supportive of what they understand of it. Emma understands, Lucy knows something big is about to happen that I will no longer have to go to dialysis. Ozzie? Well, he loves his dinosaurs!!!

I’m not only nervous about the surgery but sad about leaving all of the new friends I have made with other patients, techs and nurses. Glad to leave but will miss them all. I only have four treatments remaining.

Next step is this coming Tuesday. We have to be in Lexington at 8:00am for my pre-op tests and instruction.
