Here we are…October 15th. Time really flies and so much has happened and not happened since my last post.

Depression comes and goes. Depression is and can be a side effect of having surgery in general. It got me particularly hard because my quality of life after my transplant is actually worse than before the surgery. It suck’s but it is what it is.

Where Are Things?

During the past two and a half years, I’ve been told that the new kidney needs time to fully “wake up.” Well, Demetrius (my kidney) may still be snoozing.

Enter theory number two.

During my last doctor visit I was told that the donor kidney may be from a physically smaller person. It makes total sense since I am 6’5” and 312lbs. He’s working hard for his money!

What Now?

Found this and dusted it off. Let’s Go!

Making changes. Getting inspired and working through the pain, depression, exhaustion and mental blocks.

Come alive, come alive

Go and light your light, let it burn so bright

Reachin' up to the sky

And it's open wide, you're electrified

And the world becomes a fantasy

And you're more than you could ever be

'Cause you're dreamin' with your eyes wide open

And you know you can't go back again

To the world that you were livin' in

'Cause you're dreamin' with your eyes wide open

So come alive

Thank you for your patience and keeping up with me. I plan to start posting a lot more and continue my fight for body positivity. Stay tuned!
