I Shall Call Him Demetrius

Matt is off O2 and going off of IV fluids and the iv insulin drip today.
His kidney is starting to pick up pace. The last thing to lower is his creatin level which has started to lower. That means “Demitrius” (new kidney) is working his magic.
Only concern is that his blood pressure is high. The doctors aren’t too terribly concerned with it, but they are watching it.

He walked 3 laps around the floor this morning without a walker, PT/OT, nor a recliner to catch him. PT/OT were so happy for him. His plan is to make a few more laps today.
Overall, he is doing well. He has been laughing and joking with his care team. The nurses have stopped by to chat when they have had a few minute and the doctors have been amazing.
I am so thankful for those who have brought food over, sent notes/called/messaged, and am extremely grateful to Kaley Roberts for taking off of work this week to care Emma, Lucy, and Ozzie. Not many would take on our crew and she has been amazing and we are forever indebted to her
