Be Kind, Help Others

While we were unpacking our pc last night, we realized we need a male-to-male spit monitor cable. We called around and no one would answer. We called Target 🎯 and they were so busy they did not have anyone in electronics to assist.

A polite young women in customer service said she would try to help me. I said ok let’s give it a shot. I told her what I needed amd she put me on hold. She was really trying but their system does not give enough details to determine if it was the correct one.

She said she was not sure of some the info given would make a difference. I replied “I’m not trying to be smart but do you know what ‘male’ and ‘female’ means? She said no. I asked her if she would like for me to explain it to her. She said “yes, please!”

Before I began explaining it to her I told her “I want to be clean that my intention is not to ‘mansplain’ something to you amd just want to help.” She said “you know, I real really appreciate you helping me and saying that about mansplaining. It really means a lot and I thank you!”

I explained to her the difference and she was able to determine that “male-to-male” was online only and that they only carry “male-to-female” in the store.

She once again said thank you amd I thanked her for her time.

It is so easy in life to communicate your intentions and make a positive impact on not only others but how people perceive you.
