Ashley's Take: MISSED FLIGHT

This is Ashley. Matt went back for surgery a few minutes ago. It was delayed due to his kidney missing it’s connection….yes….a wonderful person in Iowa donated a kidney as part of the National Kidney Register. And it missed its plan to Lexington. I cannot express how thankful I am for this selfless act of kindness as it will hopefully grant us many more good years together and for our kiddos to have him in their lives. And for you…many more years of Matt’s humor and love.

If you can, say a quick prayer for the speedy recovery of his donor, their selfless act, and to watch over Matt as well as his team of surgeons as this will be a long 4-5 hours. I’ll keep you updated.
